Abstract:
To study types of depth cues in pictures on computer screen upon kindergarten children's perception and compare the best types of depth cues in pictures on computer screen upon kindergarten children's perception. The depth cues which were studied in this research were : Interposition, size, texture gradient, linear perspective, atmospheric perspective, shading, height. The samples were 120 of kindergarten children ages 5-6. The data collected were analyzed by using one-way analysis of variance. Mean scores of each pair of depth cues were compared by the Tukey test methos. The results of this research were summarized as follows : 1. There were significant differences upon children's perception among the seven different types of depth cues at .05 level. 2. Linear perspective of depth cues upon kindergarten children's perception was significant better than height, interposition, atmospheric perspective, size, texture gradient, and shading at .05 level.
