Abstract:
The research on Communication Strategy for Network of Second Hand Smoking Protection Campaign is a qualitative research emphasized the communication activities implemented in the smoking protection campaign. The objectives of the research were to study communication campaign strategy, message strategy, and channel strategy used in the campaign. To collect the data, a documentary research and an in-depth interview were used. The findings were 1.) The campaign was mobilized by the communication network whose communication was formal informal while the roles of associate members were clearly defined; 2.) Communication strategy w3as divided into two level: Metropolitan and countryside area. The strategies in the Metropolitan area were comprised of agenda setting, message, mass media, personal media, two-way communication strategies and activities campaign. The countryside area strategies were comprised of integration and printed media strategies; 3.) Channel strategies were comprised of personal media, mass media, mixed media, price negotiation, and audience segmentation strategies; 4.) Message strategy were comprised of positive approach, rational message, rhetoric message, and fear arousal strategies.
