Abstract:
The objective of this research was 1) to study the factors affecting the purchasing decision on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System by customer of PPE Company Limited and 2) to study the qualifications of good information of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System of PPE Company Limited. This research employed both the qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative was conducted by 15 key informants from 5 companies. The tools used for data collection were the in-depth interview and observation. Data were analyzed by analytic induction and data comparisons. The quantitative research was conducted through samples of 155 respondents from the users of ERP program. The sample size was obtained by using formula of Krejcie and Morgans and was selected by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The tool used for data collection was a rating scale questionnaire and data were analyzed by statistics of percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and one way ANOVA (F-test). The research results were found as follows: 1) The analysis on factors affecting the purchasing decision on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System by customer of PPE Company Limited found that all factors should be considered namely whether the properties of software, the manufacturer or supplier and the buyer. This is because when the buyers make their purchasing decision based on all factors, it will enhance the opportunities to install and use successfully. The properties of software system which is the key factor should be the most important factor which the buyers and purchasers are concerned. This helps the buyers to receive good services and to be able to use the program which matches their working process properly. The buyers will realize that their purchasing decision is beneficial to the organization and is the most valuable investment. 2) The level of users satisfaction on qualifications of good information of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System of PPE Company Limited was found at the highest level. It showed that the ERP program had proper properties with the working process and responded to the needs of purchasers as well. Therefore, the manufacturers should take the information from this research to improve the efficiency of the program as this will lead to expanding to the new market and maintaining the existing customers.
