Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the factors affecting on the decision of parents to send their children to study kindergarten under the municipal Khlung (Bura Withayakhan) Chanthaburi, and to compare their decision classified by basic factors included gender, age, parental occupation, and education level. One-hundred and sixty-three samples used in this study comprised parents of children aged 3-5 years. A 5-rating scale questionnaire was used for data collection with a reliability of 0.98. Statistics used for analyzing the data composed of frequency, percentage, mean, Standard Deviation, and
t-test.
Results showed that:
1. Mosts of the respondents are female, aged 25 years or more, employment and others, and had education less than Bachelors degree.
2. The factors on the decision of parents to send their children to public school in early childhood learning in the Municipal Khlung (Bura Withayakhan) school under the Municipal Khlung, Chanthaburi, in both overall and each aspect were at high level, as follows: the teacher, the facilities and services, the teaching and learning activities, the moral discipline, and the environment, respectively.
3. Gender, age, occupation, and education level had no influence on their decision on sending their children to study early childhood in the Municipal Khlung school.
