Abstract:
Nanotechnology is drug- delivery and developed to formulate small particle size of active ingredient. The rage of particle size between 20-500 nanoemeter and enable to penetrate into deep skin better than macro-emulsion its can prevent active ingredient degradation. The aim of this study on anti-wrinkle activity of nano-emulsion and gel containing Vitis Vinifera CV. RIBEIR (pokdum) TISTR = Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research), GSE=grape seed extract in volunteers applied topical are twice daily in 15 male and female volunteers within the ages of 30-55 years and applied 8 weeks. Wrinkle were measured by visioscan VC, skin moisture content were by Corneometer and skin elasticity were measured by cutometer. The result were evaluated at preliminary study, week4 and week 8.The result of this study indicated that the topical nano-emulsion TISTR-GSE-N was superior in level of wrinkle and decreased significantly p0.002 at 4th week and 8th week on cheek and lateral canthal and Gel TISTR-GSE-G (pokdum) was increased wrinkle significantly when applied 4th weeks. The skin moisture content were measured increased significantly in Preliminary, 4th week and 8th week on nano-emulsion TISTR-GSE-N p<0.01 and gel TISTR-GSE-G decreased moisture significantly in preliminary 4th week and 8th week with p0.007 and p0.002 on cheek, respectively. The skin elasticity increased significantly in 4th week and 8th weeks on TISTR-GSE-N applied side with p<0.001 and The skin elasticity of gel TISTR-GSE-G increased no-significantly in week4 and week8 with p0.441 and p0.123 on cheek, respectively.
The results of this study indicated that the nano-emulsion TISTR-GSE- could significantly improve the skin wrinkle, moisture and skin elasticity within 60 day with no side effect.
