Abstract:
The objectives of the research were to study and compare the role of school administrations that affecting the motivation to work of pre-school teachers, Sakonnakorn Educational Service Area Office 2, according to gender, age, and education level.
The research samples were 156 pre-school teachers in Sakonnakorn Educational Service Area Office 2 selected by simple random sampling. The questionnaire was used for data collecting. The data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
Findings revealed that:
1. The motivation to work of pre-school teachers, Sakonnakorn Educational Service Area Office 2 was at high level ( = 4.00). Considering each aspect. It was found that all 10 aspects were at high level, ranging from high to low: stability aspect ( = 4.11), personnel relationship aspect ( = 4.10), responsibility aspect ( = 4.06), work environment aspect ( = 4.05), work itself aspect ( = 4.03), salary and benefit aspect ( = 4.02), work achievement aspect ( = 4.00), policy and management aspect ( = 3.98), recognition aspect ( = 3.85), and advancement aspect ( = 3.79), respectively.
2. Gender had influence on overall opinion at .05 statistically significance level and on 6 aspects at .05 statistically significance level: work achievement aspect, recognition aspect, work itself aspect, advancement aspect, stability aspect, personnel relationship aspect, but had no influence on others.
3. Age had influence on overall opinion at .05 statistically significance level and on 4 aspects at .05 statistically significance level: work achievement aspect, recognition aspect, salary and benefit aspect, and work environment aspect and had no influence on others.
