Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the constructivism and cooperative learning-based instruction to enhance creative English writing skill for Mattayom Suksa 4 students and 2) to compare the creative English writing skill for Mattayom Suksa 4 students between before and after learning through constructivism and cooperative learning-based instruction. The sample included 35 Mattayomsuksa 4 students from Nuannoraditwittayakom ratchamagklapisek School under Bangkok Educational Service Area Office 1, in the 2nd semester, academic year 2013. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans and creative English writing test. Data was statistically analyzed in mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The findings revealed as follows:
1. The constructivism and cooperative learning-based instruction to enhance creative English writing skill for Mattayom Suksa 4 students incorporated 4 components: 1) theory/ principle/ concept focusing on practicality 2) instructional objective 3) instructional methods with 5 processes: presentation, practice, cognitive test, group dynamics, and improvements and 4) learning outcomes.
2. The creative English writing skill for Mattayom Suksa 4 students after learning through constructivism and cooperative learning-based instruction was significantly higher (p < .01).
