Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the touch-typing skill of Grade 6 students through Davies Model-based teaching and 2) to compare the touch-typing skill of Grade 6 students between before and after learning through DaviesModel-based teaching. The sample included 30 of Grade 6/1 students from Kularbwittaya School of Bangkok Archdiocese in academic year 2014 obtained through cluster random sampling. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans and touch-typing skill test. Data was statistically analyzed in mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The findings revealed as follows:
1. The touch-typing skill of Grade 6 students through Davies Model-based teaching was reported to be accurate, and fast at Good level with correct method at Good-Very Good level.
2. The touch-typing skill of Grade 6 students after learning through Davies Model-based teaching was found to be higher at significance level .01.
