Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1. analyze factors and conditions which contribute to life long learning activities for social responsibility in business organizations which has been recognize for their social responsibility (Good practices) in Thailand. 2 to develop strategies that would promote life long education of social responsibility projects for private enterprises in Thailand. This research was done in qualitative research methods including case studies from five companies which has earned Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The research used documentary analysis, In-depth interviews, and focus group discussions. Researcher had synthesized a strategic plan to promote life long learning for the corporate social responsibility of the private sector in Thailand and had been verified by experts in the relevant disciplines and sectors. The research concluded that 1. Factors and conditions that drove social responsibility activities of private enterprises could categorize into 5 categories (1.1) occurred since the company was founded. The culture of the organization such as nature of the business, vision, mission, philosophy, ideology, mission embeds the value (1.2) directive from management, proposed by staff or leveraging assets within the company such as companys expertise, personnel who can execute, or financial stability (1.3) the influence of external factor such as drought, floods in Thailand or global demands such as global warming or government asking for cooperation. (1.4) Companies hope that social responsibility program would lead to goodwill in terms of reputation and image within the industry. (1.5) give back to the community. 2. Corporate social responsibility projects related with life long education in term of five learning categories(2.1) Seminars (2.2) Field studies (2.3)Self directed learning(2.4)Study through learning resources (2.5) Learning through social development activities. 3. Strategies for enterprises to promote life long learning of social responsibility in business organizations in Thailand consisted of (3.1) vision to promote educational activities of the project of social responsibility in the corporate business sector (3.2). mission, namely (3.2.1) encourages organizations to bring about life long learning in social responsibility projects as part of the corporate culture (3.2.2) organization to promote a variety of activities to suit the organization and consistent with the needs of target group (3.2.3) promote coordination with external networks to facilitate the target group (3.3) objectives are (3.3.1) organizations to conduct business with a good conscience and social responsibility in mind (3.3.2) a long term activities in socially responsible projects that use existing organizations resources to meet the needs of the target group. (3.3.3) collaboration between organizations with parties outside the organization to increase efficiency and benefit to all party involved (3.4) strategy (3.4.1) ensuring that the people in the organization recognizes and understand the importance of educational activities in the social responsibility project is an important and enabling organizations to survive in the long term (3.4.2) to raise awareness on the importance and benefits to the target group. (3.4.3) by stating the purpose of the event clearly. Scheduled activities in line with the needs and lifestyle of each target (3.4.4) ensure management and staff are involve. (3.4.5) leverage resources of the organization to provide a convenient and useful experience for the participants (3.4.6) continue to develop social responsibility programs (3.5)Strategies for management level:cooperate with stakeholders for activity plan, analyse targets group needs along with resources,connect with network and take action with evaluation. (3.6)Strategies for operaters level:set up the environment,prepare the readiness of time and place,and activity publication.
