Abstract:
The objectives of the research were for : 1. studying the development of Thainoi
palaeography, 2. studying the development orthography of Thainoi palaeography, 3. studying the
language in inscribe of Thainoi palaeography and 4. studying the dynamics of Thainoi palaeography in
today's society
The results of the research were found as the followings : 37 consonants, 7 foot
consonants, 56 clusters, 25 vowels, 10 numbers and 6 symbols were at the highest developed
stage in 22nd and 25th century.
The orthography study was found that in the 23rd century the single consonants were
reduced in number but utilized the similar sounded consonants instead of them, the cluster initial
consonants were 2 types : cluster consonants; r, l, v which consisted of 20 cluster consonants,
24 initial consonants, 8 categories of final consonants. The study of the development orthography
of vowel and the symbol were found that the 25th century was the highest developed stage and
the development of number was used from the tens to the millions.
The study of language in inscribe were found that the languages was formally
inscribed in stone or cloth of the royal court but they appeared informal pattern in stone or
colophons in the provincial administration.
The study of language dynamics from organizations were found that there were
6 government organizations and 9 private organizations. These organizations were grouped into
3 types: the conservator and distributor, the restorer and inheritor, the developer. The problems of
the language dynamics were the lack of written language autonomy, the modernized word using,
the combination between Thai and Thainoi orthography.
