Abstract:
The purposes of this study were (1) to investigate the leadership that affected the employee performance efficiency, (2) to inspect the quality of employee performance, and (3) to examine the relationship of the leadership that affected the employee performance. The sample used in the study comprised 400 employees working in the fast food franchise industry in Pathumthani. The data were collected through the application of questionnaire, and were analyzed using Frequency, Percentage, Standard Deviation, Independent Samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient.
The results of the study revealed that the transactional leadership and transformational leadership had effects on the quality of overall employee performance at a high level. The quality of employee performance was rated at a high level, and the aspect of personal development in order to increase productivity was rate at the highest level.
Moreover, it was found that the employees with different gender, average monthly income, and level of education had different opinion on the leadership that affected the quality of employee performance. The relationship between the transformational leadership and the quality of employee performance was at a low-level, while the relationship between transactional leadership and the quality of employee performance showed a high-level.
