Abstract:
The purpose of this research Was to study local wisdom and primary education management under Bangkok metropolitan administration.It was a survey research using a set of questionnaires for the samples of 1 81 pnmary school teachers. Frequency distribution and percentages were mainly used to analyze data.The research findings revealed that:1. The utilization of local wisdom in primary education management.1.1 For methods, ideas, and beliefs, Buddhist ones were mainly utilized by teachers at pratomsuksa 3 level. Hindu and personal ones were mainly utilized at pratomsuksa 6 level.1 .2 For arts, cultures, traditions, the art of singing was mainly utilized at pratomsuksa 5 and 6 ieVCi5. The arts of line drawing, vegetable and fruit carving, classical Thai dancing, Thai music, languages, ancient monuments and antiques were mainly utilized a pratomsuksa 6 level. Various cultures were mainly utilized atpratomsuksa 3, 5 and 6 levels. Common traditions, traditions relating to Buddhism, and individual traditions were mainly utilized at pratomsuksa 5 level.1 .3 For earning a living in local areas, the productions of herbal medicines, Thai desserts, agncuiturc, Thai perfume and scented sticks were mainly utilized at pratonisuksa 6 level.1 .4 For practices or local technologies, natural agriculture and making of Khone-drama masks were mainly utilized at pratomsuksa 6 leveL2. The utilization of local wisdom in the teaching and learning of an expenence area.2.1 For methods, ideas, and beliefs, Buddhist, Hindu, and personal ones were mainly arranged in a life-experience area.2.2 For arts, cultures, traditions, the arts of singing, line drawing, classical Thai dancing, and Thai music were mainly arranged in a character- development area. The art of vegetable and fruit carving was mainly arranged in a work-oriented-experience area. Language arts were mainly arranged in a basic- skills area. Ancient monuments and antiques, cultures, common traditions, traditions relating to Buddhism, and individual traditions were mainly arranged in a life-experience area.2.3 For earning a living in lecal areas, the productions of herbal medicines, Thai desserts, agriculture, Thai perfume and scented sticks were mainly arranged in a work-oricnted area.2.4 For practices or local technologies, natural agriculture and making of Khone-drama masks were also mainly arranged in a work-oriented-experience area.3. The transfer of local wisdom.All aspects were mainly transfered to students directly by the owners of the wisdom.
