Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study factors affecting an inquiry mind of Chulalongkorn University (CU) undergraduate students with the e-learning classroom integration. The sampling was selected from 19 faculties, the academic year of 2010 at CU with a Stratified Random Sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire survey. The instrument consisted of items covered the 54 variables and 8 factors of the instructor, the student, the policys support of the university, infrastructure, the learning management system, the pedagogy, the e-learning material and the assessment. The data were collected by a non-probability sampling methods, using snow ball and an Accidental Sampling techniques. The numbers of 540 respondents were completed to ensure its validity. The data was finally analyzed by mean, standard deviation, Pearsons product moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The finding revealed that: 1) The undergraduate students rated their inquiry mind as moderate 2) There were statistically significant positive relationship at the .05 level between the inquiry mind and 29 selected variables. The top three variables were the students analytical thinking ability, analytical thinking pedagogy, and students learn participation. 3) Multiple regression analysis was at the .05 level using the stepwise method. There were 7 predicted variables that affected inquiry mind ,which were students analytical thinking ability, students face-to-face activities, analytical thinking pedagogy, website with related learning content, studying from academic text book, assessment test (Open-ended Item), and studying the content online. These predicted variables together were able to account for 21.3% of the variance.
