Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the needs in developing potential and knowledge and 2) to develop potential and knowledge and skill and attitude in Three-Year Development Plan of the community in Prasong Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The procedure included two steps, as follows;
Step 1: Regarding the needs in developing potential and knowledge in Three-Year Development Plan of the community, the finding revealed that education, experience, knowledge, understanding, and lack of opportunity as a representative were the limitations of the local leaders and the community. For field work, the questionnaires were used to collect data from 82 samples, who were in Prasong community, Thachana, Suratthani. Data was analyzed by SPSS program. The majority of the samples were male who graduated from junior high school and senior high school (vocational school or equivalent). The samples were above 45 years old farmers and were recognized as the community for more than 5 years. The community had never experienced any practical workshop regarding Three-Year Development Plan.
Step 2 : In order to develop potential and knowledge and skill and attitude of the community in Three-Year Development Plan of Prasong Subdistrict Administration Organization, Thachana, Suratthani, the data obtained from Step 1 was analyzed for the needs. Furthermore, in order to develop potential and knowledge and skill and attitude in Three-Year Development Plan for the community, the practical workshop was held for the Subdistrict Administration Organization and the potential of Three-Year Development Plan was evaluated. The 82 samples were from Prasong community, Thachana, Surattani Province. The findings revealed that, after attending the practical workshop, the average post-test learning achievement of the samples was higher than the average pre-test learning achievement. In addition, the attitude achievement and the Three-Year Development Planning achievement of the community were statistically different at the level of 0.05. The average practical workshop achievement of Three-Year Development Plan could develop and enhance knowledge, understanding, role of the community, and the skill of Three-Year Development Planning. The attitude of the participation in Three-Year Development Planning was increased as well.
