Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study Thai tourists expectation and satisfaction toward the national museums in Bangkok Metropolis and compare Thai tourists expectation and satisfaction toward the national museums in Bangkok Metropolis about data of Thai tourists in the management, personnel, location and facilities, publication, recreation activities and security. A questionnaire was used as a tool to collect sampling of 400 Thai tourists during June to July 2011. Then, the data were the analyzed statistically using the frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one way analysis of variance by the Scheffe method. The results indicated that the majority of the respondents, the subjects were major group female whose aged less than 20 years, education background bachelors degree who were student and their incomes were less than or equal 10,000 baht. The respondents traveled only one to three times in past 1 year. The majority of Thai tourists decided to travel because of the attraction which were Thai identity, the accessibility that was the sufficient of vehicle mode, the amenities that was the sufficiency space in the national museums for Thai tourists. Thai tourists had the expectation in the high level with the personnel, recreation activities, security, management, publication and location and facilities in order and Thai tourists had also the satisfaction in the high level with personnel, management, recreation activities, security, publication and location and facilities in order. In comparison between Thai tourists expectation and satisfaction toward the national museums in Bangkok Metropolis, there were significant differences between expectation and satisfaction of the Changton National Museum, National Museum of Royal Barges at the level of 0.05. Comparison of Thai tourists expectation and satisfaction during gender, age, education level, career and income. There were significant differences at 0.05 level.
