Abstract:
The study titled the expectation and satisfaction of outpatients towards service quality of Chiang Rais regional and general hospital having the purpose to study the level of the expectations and outpatients satisfaction and to study the comparison on the expectation and satisfaction of outpatients with examination room on the services both overall and in each aspect. The sample were the people who received services from examination room at the outpatient service department consisting of 400 patients aged 15 years and over, patients that can help themselves, with a good conscience, happy and able to cooperate in the study and able to communicate with speech, listening, reading and writing in Thai.
The results were the level on the expectations from the outpatients credibility and trust were at the highest level, followed by the materiality of the services and the patients responses with the same mean analysis. For patient satisfaction and trust it was found that were at the highest level, followed by the responsiveness towards the patients and the reliability aspects respectively. Concerning the comparison on the expectation and satisfaction of outpatients towards service quality found the average expectations of service greater than satisfaction of patients in both overall and each aspect.
