Abstract:
This study aimed to explore: 1) an analysis of answering the questions of students that correctly answered in the different item characteristics of students in grade nine, 2) an analysis of response time in the different examinee characteristics and item characteristics of student in grade nine and 3) an analysis of accuracy response times in terms of examinee and item characteristics those are different. The data collecting was administered to three hundred and eighty-six students in grade nine of secondary educational service area office district one. Two types of data were collected; anxiety test and e-testing. The data was analyzed by two-way analysis of variance. The following results were obtained: 1. The comparison showed that examinees with high ability could answer the most questions accurately. In term of anxiety, examinees with low anxiety could answer the questions accurately than examinees with moderate and high anxiety in order. In term of item characteristics, the test items at easy level, most of examinees could answer these questions accurately. Examinees could answer the Classical Test more than the Elimination Test. And the test with four and five choices, examinees were not different, except the examinees with low ability at .05 level of significance. 2. Examinees with moderate ability response more time than the examinees with low ability. In term of anxiety, the examinees with low anxiety response more time than examinees with moderate and high anxiety in order. In term of item characteristics, the test at difficult level, examinees response the time longer than the rest of the tests. Examinees response the time with the Classical Test more than the Elimination Test. And examinees response the time in test item with five choices more than the test with four choices at .05 level of significance. 3. Examinees with high and moderate ability accurately response time less than the examinees with low ability that easy level and moderate level test. In term of anxiety, examinees with low anxiety did tend to response more time the examinees with moderate and high anxiety in order. In term of test characteristics, the difficult level test response more time than the easy level test and examinees response time in the four choices and five choices test that were not different.
