A proposed practicing manual for playing the music of his majesty The King Bhumibol Adulyadej to develop saxophone playing skills of secondary school students
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to analyze 1) the order of difficulty for playing the music of his majesty THE KING BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ for alto saxophone playing skills and 2) proposed practicing manual for playing the music of his majesty KING BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ to develop alto saxophone playing skills of secondary school students. Content Analysis was the major research methodology. The research tools were two analysis form; musical analysis form and physical analysis form. Descriptive statistic and qualitative details were presented in the research result. The findings were: 1) Analyzing the order of difficulty found there were two styles. First, musical characteristic (melody and meter) found Menu Kai to be the most difficult composition and Infantry Regiment 21 was found to be the easiest. Secondly, physical performing characteristics found Pra Maha Mongkon to be the most difficult music and Menu Kai was found to be the easiest. 2) A practicing manual for playing the music of his majesty KING BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ to develop for alto saxophone playing skills consisted of an explanation for using the manual, content, teaching methods of alto saxophone playing skills, measurement and assessment, and reference.
