An application of outcome mapping technique to develop elementary school teachers information and communication technology abilities technology abilities
Abstract:
This research has the objective to study the result from utilizing the outcome mapping technique in the development of the ability on the information technology and communication of teachers and to study the application result of outcome mapping technique in the development of the ability on information technology and the communications of elementary school teachers which consists of the development on the ability on the access of information, the ability on preparing data, the ability on interpreting and presenting data, the ability on the data evaluation and the ability on the data recreation. The sample group is 60 elementary school teachers in Bangkok dividing into experiment group for 30 people and control group for 30 people and to operate the research by using quantitative and qualitative research. The tools used in the research consists of the ability measuring form on information technology and communications, observation form, interview form and the inquiry guideline in the group discussion. The research result can be summarized as follows. 1. To utilize the outcome mapping technique in developing the ability on the information technology and the communications of elementary school teachers consisting of visions, mission, Boundary partners, outcome challenge, progress markers, strategy map, organization practices. 2. The result of the application of the outcome mapping technique in the development of the ability of information technology and the communications of elementary school teachers consists of. 2.1 The ability on the information technology and the communications of a teacher whose ability has been developed by using outcome mapping technique after the test is higher than teachers who have received normal training. 2.2 Regarding the result of the follow-up from the collection of qualitative data during the experiment, teachers who have been developed by using outcome mapping technique have higher ability than teachers whose ability has been developed by using normal training.
