Abstract:
The objective of the research were: 1) to study the performance level of the directors a the Non-Formal Educational Centers in Pang-nga in managing information technology at their respective centers, and 2) to identify problems and propose suggestions to improve the efficiency of the information technology management. The sample group consisted of 48 directors at the Non-Formal Education Centers in Pang-nga. Questionnaires were used to collect the data. The questionnaires were divided into three parts: 1) personal information 2) activities and managerial job performance, and 3) open-ended questions asking about common problems faced and their suggestions in solving those problems. The statistics employed to analyses the collected data included frequency, means, and S.D.
The results of the study revealed that the overall performance level of the directors at the Non-Formal Educational Centers in managing information technology was moderate, except the directors who held a Masters degree.
The suggestions compiled from the questionnaires to improve the information technology management were that the government should allocate sufficient budget for the Non-Formal Educational Centers in Pang-nga and provide sufficient equipment and supplies for learning including adequate space such as classrooms or buildings.
