Abstract:
This independent study aims to improve Taxi - Meter Service and another public Transportation service provider in Chiang Rai Province Thailand. The study focuses on a group of employees and students at Mae Fah Luang University, whom the interview with Chiang Rai Taxi s operators identifies as primary customers group. The results showed that service marketing mix (7 Ps) affect the group of non-customer and group of customers mostly demonstrate the same pattern. However, the group of non-customer ranks the Physical Evidence and Presentation as the most important factor concerning the expectation of using the service. For example, this includes the expectation that Taxi Meter should be clean and none of bad smell. But the group of customers ranks the Product as the most important factor concerning the satisfaction from using the service. The example for Product categories is to ride with comfort in transport. The least important factor among the service marketing mix (7 Ps) for both customer and non-customer group is Promotion about CSR. The major complain from customers is in the factor of Price at about 39 percent from total complains, for the different fare charged price on the meter.
