Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the effect of anaerobic training and to compate the anaerobic training with maximal intensity among various durations (20, 30 and 40 second). The selected subjects was forty healthy male students which never attended any exercise program They were divided into 4 groups namelyG_c ,G_1 ,G_2 and G_(3 ,) G_c was the control group which was given no training program. G_1, G_(2 ,)and G_(3 ) were given training program by all-out sprint against resistance of 0.067 kgm per kb body wight on Bicycle Ergometer for a period of 6 weeks. The durations of each all-out sprint were 20 second for G_(1 )group, 30 second for G_2and 40second for G_(3 ), but total durations per week were equal in all grouss. Subjects were given the pre-test and post-test on anaerobic capacity measured by Wingate Anaerobic Test, 300 - meter sprint, 80-meter sprint, and 10 verti-cal jumps. The obtained data were, then, analyzed in terms of means and standard deviations. Also, the one-way analysis of co-variance was employed to determine if there existed any significant differences. The Duncans ne multiple range test was used as the follow test. The results indicated that:1.Mean anaerobic capacity, peak anaerobic capacity and 300-meter sprint performance of subject in the experimental groups were significantly increased higher than those of the control group at the .01, and levels. However, there were no significant differences among the experimental groups. 2.There were no significant differences among all of the four groups at the .05 level, in 80-meter sprint. 3. The ability of 10n vertical jumps of subjects in the experimental groups, G_1 (20 sec) and G_(2 )(30 sec) was significantly increased at the .05 ;eve;/ Om addition, the increasing ability of G_1 (20 sec) was significantly higher than of the G_3 (40 sec) at the .05 level. In conclusion anaerobic training with maximal intensity by various durations improved anaerobic capacity, 300 meter sprint and vertical jump performance significantly but there was no obvious difference among each other except the vertical jump performance.
