Abstract:
The aims of this research were to investigate factors that affect to the SUZ-4 synthesis using
hydrothermal process. The studied factors were composed of reaction temperature (150-180 °C) for 24
hours, crystallization time (18-6 hrs.), tetraethylammonuim hydroxide, TEAOH (2.6-0TEAOH:
Al2O3), initial pressure with nitrogen (5-2 bar), seeding crystallization (0.02-0.01%g gel) and using
bagasse ash (BA) as a co-silica source (0:100, 25:75, 50:50 and 75:25 BA:silica sol). The samples
were tested for NO reduction by H2 reducer on the physicochemical properties. The synthesized
K/SUZ-4 have needle-shaped crystals with 0.065-0.153 μm dia. 5.3-5.9 Å pore diameter and surface
area 241.1-465. 2 m2/g. Determination of the nitric oxide reduction was found that when K/SUZ-4
zeolite catalyst at high reaction temperature gave higher NO conversion with volume flow rate of
exhaust gas under the conditions of synthesis at 150 °C for 24 hours, at initial pressure 3 bar, 150 °C
for 6 hours and at 0.65TEAOH: Al2O3, 150 °C for 24 hours. At low temperature lower NO conversion was carried out when enhanced volume flow rate of exhaust gas under condition at 0.65TEAOH: Al2O3, 150 °C for 24 hours.
