Employees Attitude Towards the 5S-Technique Approach: A Case Study of the Sritrang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (Kanchanadit Branch), Surat Thani Province
Abstract:
The objective of this independent study is to investigate the employees attitude towards the 5s technique approach, the relationship between the organization factors and the employees attitude as well as the employees attitude from demographics factors. The data were collected by questionnaires from 125 the Sritrang Agro-Industry Public Company limited (Kanchanadit Branch), Surat Thani Province employees.
The result showed that the employees agreed on the 5s technique approach in all aspects: knowledge, perception, remuneration, participation, policy and implements
Gender, age, education level, work life, position, department, duty and involvement influenced to the employees attitude. Female agreed on the 5s technique approach much more male. The participants aged between 41-50 agreed much more than aged under 40. Higher education and longer working employees attitude are better. Staff members agreed on the 5s technique approach much more than other employees of other levels. The employees attitude in department of quality was higher. The employees who had duty on control or support the 5s technique approach or was as the committee more positive had attitude level than the employees who did not directly involve with the approach.
The relationship between organization factors and the employees attitude showed that the employees agreed with company on the 5s technique in the area of knowledge, perception and behavior.
