Abstract:
This study got information from the auditors who worked for the TOT Public
Company Limited and contacted with various people in different departments
and outside companies, especially those from foreign countries (such as foreign
consultants that come to the company to be audit consultants). The objectives of this
study were : 1) to investigate the factors that help TOT auditors in their spoken
English ; 2) to investigate TOT auditors strengths and weaknesses in speaking skills,
and 3) to study the frequency of TOT auditors English use in their daily life and at
work. The main research instrument in this study included the factors that help TOT
auditors in their spoken English Questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed
using the arithmetic mean and the standard deviation. The findings reveal that the
factors that help TOT auditors in English speaking are attitude, lexical competence
and intrinsic motivation respectively. The strengths perceived by the auditors were in
cultural competence, sociolinguistic competence, and lexical competence while the
weaknesses were in phonology competence, discourse competence, and lexical
competence. The majority of the auditors reported that they rarely used English in
their daily life, and rarely used English at work

สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาข้อมูลจากผู้ตรวจสอบบริษัท ทีโอที จำกัด (มหาชน)
ซึ่งติดต่อผู้คนในหน่วยงานต่างๆ ภายในบริษัท และภายนอกบริษัท โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกับชาวต่างชาติ
เช่น ชาวต่างชาติที่เป็นที่ปรึกษางานตรวจสอบ วัตถุประสงค์ของการศึกษาในครั้งนี้คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษา
ปัจจัยที่ช่วยให้ผู้ตรวจสอบ บมจ.ทีโอที ในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ 2) เพื่อศึกษาข้อดีและข้อด้อย
ในทักษะการพูด และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความถี่ในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในชีวิตประจำวันและในที่ทำงาน
ในการวิจัยเครื่องมือที่ใช้ประกอบด้วยแบบสอบถามปัจจัยที่ช่วยผู้ตรวจสอบบริษัท ทีโอที จำกัด (มหาชน)
ในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ ได้แก่ ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตและค่าเบี่ยงเบน
มาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าปัจจัยที่ช่วยให้ผู้ตรวจสอบบริษัท ทีโอที จำกัด (มหาชน) ในการพูด
ภาษาอังกฤษ คือทัศนคติ ความสามารถทางคำศัพท์ และแรงจูงใจภายใน ตามลำดับ ข้อดีในการพูด
ของผู้ตรวจสอบ คือ ความสามารถทางวัฒนธรรม ด้านภาษาศาสตร์สังคม และความสามารถ
ทางคำศัพท์ ในขณะที่ข้อด้อยในการพูดของผู้ตรวจสอบ คือ ความสามารถทางระบบเสียง
ความสามารถทางวาทกรรมและความสามารถทางคำศัพท์ ทางด้านความถี่ในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ
ของผู้ตรวจสอบ ส่วนใหญ่รายงานว่าพวกเขาไม่ค่อยใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในชีวิตประจำวันและไม่ค่อย
ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในที่ทำงาน
