Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the job-related stress level of personnel, 2) to study the level of problem stage and job stresscoping strategies of personnel, 3) to compare personnels job stress, classified by individual factors, 4) to compare personnels job-related stress classified by the problem stage, and 5) to compare personnels job-related stress classified by stresscoping strategies. The samples of this research were 300 Department of Industrial works personnel, The Ministry of Industry. The instrument used for the data collection was the questionnaires. The statistical analyses were percentage, mean, median, standard deviation, T-test and one-way analysis of variance.
The results of this research indicated that 1) the job-related stress of personnel was at a moderate level. 2) the domestic problem stage of personnel was at a high level and total job stresscoping strategies of personnel was at a low level. 3) personnel with different genders, education had statistically significant differences in job-related stress at the level of .01 and working experiences had statistically significant differences in job-related stress at the level of .05 respectively but personnel with different age, family burden did not have different job-related stress. 4) personnel with different job-related problem stages: work problems, personal problems, and family problems did not have different job-related stress. and 5) personnel with different stresscoping strategies: avoidance coping had a different job-related stress with a statistically significant level of .05, but personnel with different stresscoping strategies problem focused coping and emotion focused coping strategies did not have different job-related stress.
