Abstract:
The objective of this research was to construct and experiment with electronic
books on Community Solid Waste Management for students at 3rd Level as well as
study the effectiveness of electronic books by comparison of pre-test and post-test of a
sample group, this included the study of students’ satisfaction towards constructed
electronic books. Contents of electronic books consisted of academic subjects with
background pictures. Research samples were selected among secondary school
students, 2nd level at Thepmongkholrangsi School at Kanchanaburi province Thailand.
Research steps consisted of 1) Primary learning, 2) Constructing and Developing
Electronic books, and 3) Implementation. Data analysis was done through statistical
description , percent , average, highest and lowest value, mode and applying t-test and
pre-test and post-test.
Results show pre-test and post-test of the sample group had statistical significant
differences at 0.05 and that quality assessment by scholars and students showed
satisfaction with electronic books for self-learning. Overall, the books proved
effective media that provided understanding for students.
The main recommendation derived from this research the building of more
programs using electronic books with contents suitable for different ages, learning
methods and budgets.
