Abstract:
As a supplement to textbooks, the internet has rapidly become an
educational tool for everyone. The Thai online encyclopedia is one of the
information sources that people can search for all purposes. For this reason, the
online encyclopedia was created to educate on an unlimited number of topics. This
Thai online encyclopedia is also run on a non-profit basis.
This research was done to develop the Thai encyclopedia format. The goal
of this research was to analyze, design and develop a Thai online encyclopedia to
meet international standards and provide information services with multimedia
displays.
The research started with a format comparison and analysis of the
advantages and disadvantages between Thai and International encyclopedias. And
applied, improved, and adjusted the Thai encyclopedia by using analysis
evaluations.
The encyclopedia consists of 2 parts, an information search and information
management system using the principles of relation database. For the design and
development technology, MySQL was the operator in the database. Apache was
used for the Web Server. Professional Home Page (PHP) was used to control the
script language and contact between Web Server and Database.
This research was done to develop and create a suitable online Thai
encyclopedia application.

การศึกษาในปัจจุบันนี้ไม่ได้ถูกจำกัดเพียงแต่ในตำราเรียนเท่านั้น เนื่องจากเทคโนโลยี
อินเตอร์เน็ตเข้ามามีบทบาทมากขึ้น การศึกษาหาความรู้ในเครือข่ายอินเตอร์เน็ตเป็นอีกทาง
หนึ่งในการค้นคว้าหาความรู้ ดังนั้นจึงจัดทำสารานุกรมบนเว็บขึ้นเพื่อเผยแพร่ความรู้อย่างไร้ขีด
จำกัดโดยไม่มีผลประโยชน์ทางธุรกิจ
การวิจัยนี้เป็นการพัฒนารูปแบบของสารานุกรมไทย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ออก
แบบและพัฒนาเว็บต้นแบบของสารานุกรมไทยให้มีความเป็นสากลมากขึ้น พร้อมทั้งการให้
บริการข้อมูลในระบบมัลติมิเดีย
งานวิจัยนี้เริ่มต้นจากการวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบรูปแบบ, จุดเด่นจุดด้อยของสารานุกรมไทย
และสารานุกรมของต่างประเทศ แล้วนำจุดด้อยบางประการที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบ
มาแก้ไขและปรับใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับเว็บสารานุกรมไทย
การวิจัยนี้เป็นการพัฒนาเว็บต้นแบบของสารานุกรมประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วน คือ ระบบการ
ค้นหาข้อมูล และระบบการจัดการข้อมูล โดยใช้หลักการออกแบบของฐานข้อมูลเชิงสัมพันธ์
(Relation Database) ส่วนเทคโนโลยีที่ใช้ในการออกแบบและพัฒนาในงานวิจัยนี้ ใช้
MySQL เป็นตัวจัดการในส่วนของฐานข้อมูล ในส่วนของ Web Server ใช้ Apache และ
ในส่วนของภาษาสคริปต์ใช้ Professional Home Page (PHP) ซึ่งเป็นตัวที่ใช้ควบคุม และ
ใช้ในการติดต่อระหว่าง Web Server และ Database
ผลงานวิจัยนี้แสดงถึงเว็บสารานุกรมไทยที่พัฒนาขึ้นมาเพื่อให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้งาน
