Abstract: This research was the study and development of a workflow system for Solving problem from the old system at the Faculty of Graduate Studies regarding Information / Document distribution and long paper processed. The old system of placing mail distribution information on a board was not an efficient method to distribute Information / Documents. This research project has solved the problems by application of electronic Information / Documents, and a web-based technique to distribute and view Information / Documents instead if a paper based technique. It is used to reduce the processing time, add more convenience and more efficiency, reduce cost in installation, and allow ease of use. The software development life cycle (SDLC) was the framework of this research. In the creation of the Information Distribution System, the researcher developed a simulated intranet system consisting of three parts : Part one was a web server which consisted of an operating system based on a Windows 2000 server that included Internet Information Services (IIS), PHP technology was used to develop this program and connect it to a database. Part two was a database server MS-SQL 2000 Server which runs under a Windows 20000 server operating system, and part three was a client under Windows 2000 Professional operating system and Internet Explorer 5.0, which was the web browser used for testing the system. After system implementation, the users tested the system and filled in the questionnaires, rating their satisfaction. The total results were as follows : 34.62% Said it was excellent, 58.85% rated it good, and 6.54% rated it poor. In detail, the questions that are relevant to the objectives such as reduction of paper and labor work, rapid and thorough work and ability to replace the old system were rated excellent (61.67% is excellent, 33.33% is good).

Abstract: งานวิจัยนี้ เป็นการศึกษาและพัฒนาระบบงานเพื่อใช้ในการแก้ปัญหาระบบงานเดิม ของบัณฑิตวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ในเรื่องของการเผยแพร่เอกสาร/ข่าวสารที่ไม่คล่องตัวและใช้เวลานาน ซึ่งระบบเดิมใช้การเผยแพร่ทางจดหมายและติดประกาศตามบอร์ดซึ่งเป็นวิธีการที่ไม่ค่อยมีประสิทธิภาพสำหรับการเผยแพร่เอกสาร/ข่าวสาร งานวิจัยนี้แก้ปัญหาดังกล่าวโดยการประยุกต์ใช้ เอกสารและข่าวสารอิเล็กทรอนิคและเว็ปเพ็จเทคโนโลยี ในการเผยแพร่และชมเอกสาร/ข่าวสาร แทนระบบเดิมที่ใช้กระดาษ ซึ่งจะช่วยลดเวลาในการส่งเอกสาร, เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ, ลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการติดตั้งและง่ายสำหรับใช้งาน Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) ถูกนำมาใช้เป็นกรอบในการวิจัย และการสร้างระบบเผยแพร่เอกสาร/ข่าวสารนี้ ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างเป็นระบบอินทราเน็ต โดยมีส่วนประกอบ 3 ส่วน ดังนี้ ส่วนแรก คือ Web Server ทำง่านอยู่บน Windows 2000 Server ซึ่งมีบริการ Internet Information Services (IIS), และใช้ PHP ในการพัฒนาโปรแกรมและติดต่อกับฐานข้อมูล, ส่วนที่สองคือ Database Server ซึ่งใช้ MS-SQL 2000 Server ทำงานอยู่บน Windows 2000 Server เช่นกัน, ส่วนสุดท้ายเป็นเครื่องของผู้ใช้ ซึ่งใช้ระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows 2000 Professional และ Internet Explorer 5.0 เป็น Web Browser ในการทำสอบการทำงาน หลังจากเริ่มใช้งานจริง ผู้ใช้ได้ทำการทดสอบระบบและตอบแบบสอบถามเพื่อวัดความพึงพอใจในระบบซึ่งมีจำนวนผู้ใช้ 34.62% ที่บอกว่า “ดีมาก” และ 58.85% บอกว่า “ดี” และ 6.54% บอกว่า “ไม่ดี” ในแบบสอบถามได้ถามถึงความพึงพอใจในเรื่องของ การลดการใช้ทรัพยากร กระดาษ, แรงงานเจ้าหน้าที่, ความสะดวก และสามารถทดแทนรูปแบบเดิม ซึ่งได้รับความพึงพอใจจากผู้ใช้ในระดับดีมาก (“ดีมาก” 61.67% และ “ดี” 33.33%)
