Abstract:
The study “Business Operation of Community Industrial Business: A Case Study of
Community Industrial Business of Paeng Kha Nom Chin Production” has 4 main objectives: 1) to
study characteristics and development of the Network Food Product Co., Ltd., which operates the
Paeng Kha Nom Chin Factory; 2) to study the operation of community industrial businesses ; 3) to
find factors affecting community industrial business ; 4) to study the pattern of community
participation in community industrial business.
This study uses qualitative research methodology using informal interviews, structured
interviews and participation observation.
The study found that the way that the Network Food Product Co., Ltd. was established by
groups of community leaders and many interested organizations strengthened community business
and the community, as did the way that they recognized the importance of local culture, Southern
culture, in Kha Nom Chin consumption.
This pattern of grouping, a company, is very different from the traditional style of
community grouping such as co-ops, saving groups and so on. The difference is that The Network
Food Product Co., Ltd. raises funds by share distribution and is managed by a board of executives.
The factors affecting the company operation are: 1) leaders; 2) rules and regulations; 3)
business situation and competition ; 4) business limitations ; 5) environment policy ; 6) external
organization 7) future direction and plan of the company. The most important finding was that
community participation is the main factor influencing operations. The community participation
levels resulted from trust of the leaders, kinship and feasibility of business
