Business information system case study : the Business System Bureau Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd.
Abstract:
The AEROTHAI Business Information System (BIS) was developed to support the operation of the Business System Bureau. The system will help the daily operations by minimizing the redundant workload and reducing multiple sources of out-of-date information and report turn-around time. The implementation of BIS will result in the development of two main components: (1) a database application, which will enable centralized and related business data storage, and (2) a web-based application used to retrieve and display information on-screen or in a report format. In using web technology to produce the system, two types of scripts were used: the server-side-script code was written using a programming language called Personal Home Page or PHP and the client-side-script code was written using Java Script Language. This study follows a system development life cycle (SDLC), which is a systematic and orderly approach to solving system problems and developing a prototype of the proposed BIS.
