THE DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE TIME OF EDUCATION REFORM ACCORDING TO THE OPINIONS OF TEACHERS AND SCHOOL COMMITTEE UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF SARABURI OFFICE OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study and to compare the opinions of teachers and school committee towards the desired characteristics of school administrators in the time of education reform under the jurisdiction of Saraburi Office of Education Service Area.
The sample were 224 teachers and 137 school committee, a total of 36. The instrument was questionnaire of 46 items with the reliability of 0.84. The data were analyzed through the application of percentage, mean, standard deviation and independent t-test.
The results of the study were as follows:
1. The opinions of the teachers and school committee towards the desired characteristics of school administrators in the time of education reform, both professional and individual characteristics, were at the high level.
2. The opinions of the teachers and school committee towards the desired characteristics of school administrators in the time of education reform, both professional and individual characteristics, were significantly different at the level of .05.
