Abstract:
The purposes of this research was to determine resources' situation and needs of chemistry teachers in secondary schools, Educational Department, Educational Region 12, classified by educational degrees, educational fields, teaching experiences, and school sizes. The sample were 157 Chemistry teachers from 106 schools in Educational Department, Educational Region 12. The instrument was a questionnaire divided into three parts : chemistry teachers' backgrounds, chemistry teachers' opinions on resources' situation and chemistry teachers' needs on resources. The reliability on part 2 and part 3 of the questionnaire were 0.91 and 0.97, respectively. Statistics for analysing were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The findings were as follows : 1. Resources' situation of chemistry teachers as a whole was at the moderate level. Considering each aspect, preparation, procurement and choosing resources were at most level. The using of resources for both quality and quantity were at moderate levels. Only resources' service was at least level. The levels of resources' situations of chemistry teachers classified by educational degrees, educational fields, experiences, and school sizes were all at moderate level. 2. Resources' needs of chemistry teachers as a whole was at most level. The levels of needs were at most level for seven aspects as follows : preparation and procurement ; choosing resources ; using resources ; quality and quantity of resources ; resources services ; resources materials ; and resources equipment. Considering resources' needs classified by educational degrees, educational fields, experiences, and school sizes, they were at most levels.
