Abstract:
The purposes of this study are to study a quality of life according to sufficiency economy and a quality of working life, including the relationship between a quality of life according to sufficiency economy and a quality of working life sorted by individual factors. The samples of this study were 350 revenue officers who worked at the head office of Ministry of Finance. This study was conducted by means of questionnaires. The confidence value of questionnaires equaled to 0.9062. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis test by
Z-test, F-test, and One-way ANOVA were made with a statistical significance at 0.05
The findings were as follows:
1. Majority of samples taking the questionnaires were female (66.6%), ages 31-40 years (42.6%). The Highest education level of the sample group was Bachelors Degree (65.1%). The majority of them (51.4%) were single. Their monthly salaries were between 10,001 - 30,000 baht (61.1%). The quality of life according to sufficiency economy was considered high level when considering from their sufficiency economy, reasonableness, knowledge, and moral aspects. Their self-prevention was considered medium level. As for the quality of working life, the whole picture, was considered high level ( =3.59 ,S.D.=0.85). When considering each aspect in detail, security and career progress, safety and working environment, the relationship in an organization, and a social reaction were considered high level. Remuneration was considered medium level.
2. Individual factors of revenue officers influenced their quality of life according to sufficiency economy. Genders did not influence a quality of life according to sufficiency economy for the whole picture, but it showed the difference in self - prevention, knowledge, and moral aspects. Age and education influenced their quality of life according to sufficiency economy for the whole picture, but they were not different in each aspect. Marital status and salary did not influence their quality of life according to sufficiency economy for the whole picture, and they were not different in each aspect.
3. Individual factors of revenue officers did not influence a quality of working life. Genders did not influence a quality of working life for the whole picture, but they influenced the relationship of an organization. Age, marital status, and salary did not influence a quality of working life for the whole picture, and they are not different in each aspect. Education did not influence a quality of working life for the whole picture, but it showed the difference in remuneration.
Moreover, it has been found that there was a high level of the relationship between a quality of life according to sufficiency economy and a quality of working life of revenue officers in which the correlation conficient value was 0.633
It is suggested that a quality of life according to sufficiency economy should be applied by revenue officers from all walks of lives in order to lead their lives consciously and morally. It encourages saving money and also helps keep the family together. As for the quality of working life, it would be good to set up the expense system for revenue officers. It helps create a balance in current financial situation. It also encourages willpower and brings organizations together. As the result, the revenue officers will work effectively, and the organization will be more powerful.
