Abstract:
This research was (a) to study the administrative situation of the private elementary school administrators for developing educational quality in Educational Region 11 following private school educational standards which was divided into 7 factors namely ; philosophy and goals of school, curriculum and learning process, personnel, learning and teaching resources, management, student affairs and student achievement and (b) to compare the perception of private elementary school administrators concerning their performance levels in administration for developing the educational quality of elementary educational at Education Region 11 according to their educational degrees, years of administrative experience and school sizes. The entire population of 102 private elementary school administrators of Education Region 11 was selected to participate in the study including ; 21 managers, 56 principals, 19 both managers and principals. The research instrument consisted of three parts, a check list, a series of open ended questions and five point rating scale with 61 items questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaires was .96 Means, standard deviation, one way analysis of variance and Sheffes multiple comparison were employed to analyze the data. The hypotheses were tested at .05 level of significance. The results of this study can be concluded as follows : 1. The administrators perceived that administration for developing educational quality of private elementary school administrators in Education Region 11 as a whole and as an individual factor was at a high level of performance. 2. Comparing the perceptions of private elementary school administrators in administrators for developing educational quality of Education Region 11 according to their degrees, years of administrative experience, and school size, the results can be summarized as follows : 2.1 There was not significantly different among the perceptions of administrators who earned different educational degrees in the levels of administrative performance for developing educational quality of Education Region 11. 2.2 There was not significantly different among perceptions of administrators who had different years of administrative experience in the levels of administrative performance for developing educational quality of Education Region 11. 2.3 There was not significantly different among the perceptions of administrators who works in schools of different sizes in the levels of administrative performance for developing educational quality of Education Region 11. Considering the individual factor, it was found that there were statistically significant among the perceptions of administrators in three factor ; philosophy and goals of school personnel and learning and teaching resources at the level of .05 3. The administrators suggested that (a) the philosophy and goals of schools should be clear and concise relevant to school objectives, (b) people in the community should have their involvement in teaching management, (c) each teacher should have his / her portfolio, (d) the school environment should be managed to improve the quality the life in schools, (e) each school should have appropriate administrative structure relevant to the school size, (f) different learning activities and experiences should be offered as to support each individual student, and (g) the learning achievement of students in each learning experience should not be lower than standard criteria.
