A study a cost benefits of the wood products for development of community business : A case study of the group of Wood Products in Nongbon Sub - District, Prakhonchai District, Buriram Province
Abstract:
"The Main purpose and objectives of this study was 1) To study marketing factors for development of community business i.e. product, distribution, fixing price, marketing promotion ; 2) To study costs and profit of wood products for community developments, under study populations included board members of the community of Nongbon Sub-district, Prakonchai District, Buriram Province included 219 persons, sampling including 15 board members, by Purposive sampling, specifically a selection of 51 persons of members by 25% of quota system. Method is interviewing to collect data involving general documents of board and group members, profit market, marketing and cost-profit generation. The results reveal : that wood products market fractions including product with quantities of production, product features, depends upon the orders of outlets for distribution-sales to middlemen and producers, opportunity for distribution-sales to middlemen, promotion and public relations. Chopsticks were the most popular products purchased by buyers. Wood product yicided as per 65,334,960 Baht annually. Bowl product (Rice bowls) per cost unit is maximal. The analysis of profit at Nongbon Sub-District which showed a net profit on 2 products included wood ladles and boxes of joss stick. All other categories of wood product resulted in losses. For rate of net profit of wood products achieved 0.012 %,market share was 27.22 % with a highest break even point for wood spoons. For problems involving scarcity of raw wood with high cost. Result in an even lower break even point. Recommendation for direct pick up; from study in profit, group member derived wood from Nongbon Sub-District that shall study cost of production, Which will enable them to decide on the options for production of each product in the future, to study market share. Wood producers shall seek a way to make share an increased in such a quantity to coincide in a timely maner to cope with demands of the market and still remain competitive. To analyze break even point is beneficial for board members to let this result for reference in production planning for product that are most popular and which will result in optinum financial return. It shall let the in order to maximize profit. IT can mark sustainable marketing. Governmental agencies shall introduce modern knowledge to increase productivity, the number of outlets, in serious manner in continuity. Recommendation for this research work.
