Abstract:
This research aimed to study the role of administrators for teachers development professional standard in Surin Educational Service Office Area. The sample of quantity research consisted of 264 principles and 370 teachers working under Surin Educational Service Office Area. The subjects were obtained through Stratified a Random Sampling . Rating scale questionnaire was with 0.98 reliability value. Statistics used in this research were mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test were used to test the hypotheses. Paired difference test by Scheffes technique was used Interviewing was used for the quality research by interview the performance of teachers and educational sub-committee in Surin Educational Service Office Area with 2 personnel from each of the Educational Service Office Areas ( one administrator and teacher).
Content analysis was conducted.
The research finding were as follows :
1. The level of operation according to the role of administrators for teachers development professional standard in Surin Educational Service Office Area, as a whole and by aspect, was at high level. ( =4.43) Ranked from high to low using the value of mean, the role of classroom activity development come first and followed by community cooperative ( =4.42) and teaching instruments development ( =4.1.7)
2. In comparing beterview the administrators opinions and teachers opinions on the role of administrators for teachers development professional standard in Surin Educational Service Office Area, found that there was a significant difference between the administrators and teachers, as a whole and by aspect, at the level of .05.
3. In comparing between the administrators and the teachers opinions on the roles of administrators for teachers development according to the professional standard of with 10 items; 1) to fulfill the skills and quality of students,2) to develop the lesson plan to be performed, 3) to develop the instruction media efficiently, 4) to develop the longtime effect teaching activity for students,5) to report the development of students in system, 6) to behave in good manner for the students,7) to cooperate with the others at school creatively, 8) to cooperate with the others at community creatively, 9) to seek and use the information for development, and 10) to give the chance for students to learn in every situations in Surin Educational Service Office Area, based on the location of each Educational Service Office Area, found that there was a significant difference between the administrators and teachers, as a whole and by each aspect, at the level of .05.
