Abstract:
This study aimed to study an management information system in basic schools in Sisaket province. The samples were 277 administrators and 227 heads of mass media communication, Which were a total of 554 samples, selected by the use of the Purposive Sampling. Questionnaires were used as a research tool. They were 21 questions, a rating scale questionnaire with 5 levels, and 32 questionnaires consisted of 6 aspects. These were collecting, checking, compiling, storing, analyzing and using data. Questionnaires reliability of 0.96 was measured by mean and standard deviation. Research hypothesis was tested by t test and One way Analysis of Variance.
The research findings were revealed as follows:
1. The condition of management information system in basic schools in Sisaket
province was shown within 6 aspects. These were collecting, checking, storing, analyzing and using data.
2. The problem of management information system in basic schools in Sisaket
province, as a whole, was found at middle level. When considered each individual aspect, it was found that at the middle level in all aspects, Which could be ordered from the most to the least as follows : compiling, analyzing, using, collecting, storing and checking data.
3. The study of comparison of management information system in the basic
schools found that the condition of the answered questionnaires, size of schools all had problem in the management information system. This was not significantly different at the level of 0.05.
4. Suffusions of the problems solution in management information system in the schools were as follows : Adequate budget should be allocated to schools for management information system. To support, the staffs should be trained in developing administrative the system more frequently. The management information system in these basic schools should be cooperated and linked to all necessary knowledge data existing in other schools as much as possible.
