Abstract:
The research aims to study the satisfactions of the participants in the New Entrepreneurs Creation (NEC) Program, and to provide guidelines for future development of the program. Two sets of data are collected: 1) the program satisfaction assessment questionnaire form filled in by 185 participants who completed the program, and 2) the interview conducted for opinion and suggestion from 65 participants who completed the program, and 22 participants who did not complete the program.
The results show that personal factors such as gender, age, profession, and work experience of the participants do not affect their satisfaction with the program. However, their satisfaction levels vary towards program input such as the course content, trainer, consultant, and training venue. The interview with the participants reveals their high satisfaction with the program in general.
The study suggests that the Department of industrial Promotion should set the duration of training to suit participants need, and that Walailak University should continue providing consultation as well as proper trainers and consultants with skills elevant to the course and ability to link and apply the theory to business world. The selected persons should be internal staff who can continuously and constantly give advice to the participants. Furthermore, considering a training venue that fits the majority of participants need will make the program more attractive, especially in terms of transportation, facilities, and learning environment. Lastly, visiting a small and medium enterprise is more preferable than visiting a large industry because participants can closely study the operation process and easily adapt it to their real use
