Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to study situation and environmental problems in primary schools under the jurisdiction of the Office of Primary Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. Populations for this study were composed of 38 primary schools under the authority of BMA. One hundred and fourteen administrators which were assistant school directors responsible for premises and school vicinity, and teachers working as heads of premises and school vicinity divisions. Questionnaires were sent out to this respondents, and 73% of them were returned. Statistical tools utilized for this study were percentage, means, and standard deviation.Research results:1. Primary schools under the jurisdiction of BMA had planned about school environments which were highly suitable for learning process.2. Primary schools under the jurisdiction of BMA had highly managed diversified environments. Especially, primary schools in the developed districts always had better-managed plans.3. Most problems about planning and environmental management in primary schools under the jurisdiction of BMA were found at the very low level. The another problem these schools were encountering was about environmental planning in the school which was the "moderate" level.
