Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to study the future image of academic administration of Buddhist Universities in the next decade, using Ethnographic Delphi Futures Research. The used tools were questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed by using median, baseline, interquartile range, using packaged programs and content analysis. The results showed that: The future vision of academic administration of Buddhist universities in the next decade consisted of 6 aspects with 64 variables. There were guidelines for academic administration of Buddhist universities in the next decade, namely: 1) In terms of planning for student admissions and producing graduates, the target number of student admissions planning for new students should have a variety of target groups, such as the elderly, group of people interested in dharma practice by creating a short course; 2) In terms of teaching and learning activities, the non-formal education system, and informal education operations would mainly take into account the target audience, and adjust the activities to lead to a new way of life; 3) In terms of assessment, there should be clear, reasonable, reliable, transparent rules and procedures. and have the same standards; 4) In terms of learning, there would focus on the integration of multiple sciences and apply Buddhism to modern science, and emphasis on the content of Buddhism that is responsive and can be applied to serve society; 5) In terms of teaching and learning quality assurance, there should promote, develop and evaluate the operational efficiency of the quality assurance system, and emphasis on research practice academic service teaching management which was a mixed system; and 6) the development and improvement of academic administration academic administration of university disciplines required economic and social flexibility
