Abstract:
This study had two main objectives, which were 1) to assess how each of the One Tambon One Product was achieved its objectives in term of 1.1Xjob creating and increasing income to the communities promoting the communities' creativity in developing products which are in harmony with local culture and way of life., 1.2) strengthening the communities to be self-dependent by promoting the communities' creativity in developing products which are in harmony with local culture and way of life, 1.3)promoting Thai wisdom, 1.4)promoting human resources development and 2) to explore both positive and negative factors affecting the project implementation and some recommendations to continue this project. The study area is the two districts in Samutrprakarn Province including Muang and Prapradaeng Districts. The data was collected mainly by the structural interview among the project stakeholders. The project stakeholders that were interviewed included 100 OTOP groups, each of which consisted of 134 leaders and 270 team members, 7 presidents of local authority ai tambon level, 3 Community Development Personnel at district level 1 Agricultural Personnel at district level, The findings' were as follow: 1) The achievement of the project objectives: 1.1) the OTOP Project could create jobs and income to the communities at the Hight level, 1.2) the OTOP Project could strengthen the communities to be self-dependent at the moderate level, 1.3) the OTOP Project could promote Thai wisdom at the high level, 1.4) the OTOP Project could promote human resources development at the moderate level. Other findings are network between groups and reciprocity supporting between decentralizing government and OTOP Project, 2) The exploration of both positive and negative factors affecting the project and some recommendations to continue this project: 2.1) the positive factors affecting the OTOP Project included the strength of the Tambon Administration Organization and the activities as society available to the community, 2.2) the negative factors affecting the OTOP Project included the unstable and discontinued policy of the OTOP Project and the unclear enough of the OTOP Project among the stakeholders. Some significant recommendation were that promoting marketing was in needed, creating promoting community identity was essential for synergizing the community creation and continuing to orometer the understanding of the OTOP project among the stakeholders.
