Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the farmers demographic characteristics that affect the purchasing decision factor on agricultural chemical products in Song Phi Nong District, Suphan Buri Province; 2) to study the marketing factor that affects the farmers purchasing decision on agricultural chemical product in Song Phi Nong District, Suphan Buri Province. The methodology for this research adopted quantitative research, and a questionnaire was used as a research tool to collect the data from farmers from July to August 2022. The Purposive Sampling technique was used to select 246 farmers in the sampling strategy, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and use of the inferential statistics, including Independent Sample T-test, F-test, and Multiple Regression Analysis.
The results found that most of the respondents were male, aged between 31 and 40 years, education below a bachelors degree with a small agricultural area (less than 6 rai). The majority of respondents gave a high level of overall opinion. The hypothesis testing results showed that demographic characteristic including gender, age, education level, and the number of agricultural areas, did not affect the decision to purchase agrochemicals of the farmers in Song Phi Nong District, Suphan Buri Province. The factors that had an effect on agricultural chemicals purchasing decision of farmers in Song Phi Nong District, Suphan Buri Province consisted of marketing promotion, price, and product aspect, consecutively at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
