Abstract:
The goal of this study is to evaluate the wellness level of older citizens who attended Elderly schools and the incorporation of the Kings Philosophy Integrated Model in an elderly school located in the Eastern Special Development Zone. The research utilized mixed methods, including quantitative and qualitative methods. 300 senior members of the Elderly School were given the questionnaire to assess their wellness level. The quantitative data acquired were analyzed frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation one-way ANOVA and t-test. As for the qualitative research, in-depth interviews with 40 committee members of model schools for the elderly in the Eastern Special Development Zone were conducted. The interview topics were about the guidelines to promote the elderlys wellness in order to later analyze and improve the model for integrating King's philosophy regarding promoting the well-being of seniors in the elderly schools in the Eastern Special Development Zone. The research findings are displayed as follows: 1. The overall wellness level of Elderly citizens in elderly schools in the Eastern Special Development Zone was at a high level. Taking all the parameters into consideration, the psychological aspect had the highest ranking with an average of 4.07, followed by the social aspect (4.02), intellectual and cognitive (3.92), emotional (3.68), and spiritual (3.63), and the last ranked physical aspect had an average of 3.62 2. The guidelines to promote Elderly members wellness in elderly schools in the Eastern Special Development Zone were made by the local administration and school board members. The committee have clear vision for the regulations and their goals. Collectively, it is important to have a clear approach to supporting and promoting the potential of Elderly, to collaborate with the relevant agencies in the area, and to value all aspects of senior living in order to establish activities that improve Elderly citizens' quality of life and wellbeing. 3. The elderly schools in the Eastern Special Development Zone have incorporated the Kings philosophy of "Understand, Connecting, and Develop in every step of the working process, including the policy and operational levels. Beginning with "understand" the root cause and senior citizens demands, the Kings philosophy guided the study of context and challenges in each area. To "connecting " the problems, data analysis has been done by several organizations in order to propose the most appropriate solutions. Lastly, the sustainable activities for the elderly at the Elderly School in the Eastern Special Development Zone have been "developed" by the school itself and other related agencies.
