Effects of using inquiry approach and social constructivism on social studies learning achievement and problem solving ability of mathayomsuksa two students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to compare social studies learning achievement and problem solving ability of students with pretestposttest using inquiry approach and social constructivism. The teaching approach were 3 steps; Engage, Do and Expand. The samples were 40 Mathayomsuksa two students in 2021 academic year at Chumchonbanangvean School Chonburi province. They were cluster sampling. The research instruments consisted of inquiry approach and social constructivism lesson plans of social studies module 3 Economic, the social studies learning achievement test and the problem solving abilities test. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent sample t-test. The research finding were as follow: 1) students' social studies learning achievement after using inquiry approach and social constructivism were higher significantly than before at the .05 level and 2) students' problem solving ability after using inquiry approach and social constructivism were higher significantly than before at the .05 level.
