Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the competency of secondary school administrators attending the World Class Standards for excellence Project, 2) to compare the overall opinions of the administrators and teachers attending in the project, 3) to compare the opinions of the administrators and teachers teaching in large size and middle size schools. The stratified random sampling was used in 30 schools from 10 districts the total 1,572 people in the Northern Region Education Area. The samples studied were 22 secondary school administrators and 284 teachers attending in the World Class Standards of Excellence Project. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Statistical used in this study was average standard deviation and analyzed by t-test. The research findings were as follows:
1. The competency of secondary school administrators attending the World Class Standards for excellence Project: overall performance was at a high level (x̅ = 4.87), the core competency was at the highest level (x̅ = 4.88), the functional competency and the management competency at highest level (x̅ = 4.87).
2. Comparison of the overall opinions of the administrators and teachers attending in the project: There was no significantly different.
3. Comparison of the opinions of the administrators and teachers teaching in large size and middle size schools: there was no significantly different.
