Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine a level of parent opinions towards factors affecting their decision in allowing children to further their studies at Srisuvit School. Also, this study intended to compare the level of opinions as classified by personal factors, including gender, age, educational level, occupation, and amount of income. The subjects participating in this study were 362 parents who allowed their children at kindergarten level-Mattayomsuksa 3 to further their studies at Srisuvit School in academic year 2016. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The statistical tests used to analyze the collected data included frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA. The Least Significant Difference test (LSD) with a preset of a significant level at .05 was also administered to test the differences between pairs. The results of the study revealed that the level of parent opinions towards factors affecting their decision in allowing children to further their studies at Srisuvit School was at a high level. When considering each factor, the one in relation to teachers was rated the highest, followed by the school image, tuition fees, premise and environment, and facility, respectively. In addition, based on the results from the comparisons, there was no statistically significant difference in the level of opinions towards factors affecting the decision in allowing children to further their studies at Srisuvit School among the parents who had different age. Finally, statistically significant differences were found in the level of opinions towards factors affecting the decision in allowing children to further their studies at Srisuvit School among the parents who had different gender, educational level, occupation, and amount of income at a significant level of .05.
