Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to analyze, to describe and to compare present status,acceptance status and expectation status about problems on computer utilization which appropriatedfor households of primary students in Bangkok Metropolitan area. The sample chosen for this studywere 627 parents, teachers, and primary students in Bangkok Metropolitan area. Instrument used fordata collection was 7 rating scales. The reliability of the instrument calculated by Cronbach AlphaCoefficient was at 0.8687. Data were analyzed by using Means (Xbar ), Standard Deviation (S.D.) andAnalysis of Factors by Principal Component Analysis technique : PCA, orthogonal rotation axis byVarimas MethodThe results of the study were as follows.1. There were 10 major factors of the computer utilization which appropriated for households ofprimary students as follows: (1) Relationship between Computer Accessories and Learners,(2) Multimedia Programming, (3) Computer Utilization, (4) Communication Network, (5) LearningStyle, (6) Computer Supporting Device, (7) Side Effects to Health, (8) Conduct/Self-Discipline,(9) Moral, and (10) Navigation of Data. These factors could be explained from 78.711% of the totalvariance. A study of Correlation Coefficient between 10 factors and 62 variables was at 0.461 0.976 and the Correlation Coefficient between 10 factors and the computer utilization whichappropriated for households of primary students was at 0.441 - 0.838; it was at a high level. TheCorrelation Coefficient within the 10 internal factors was at 0.002 0.243; it was at a low level. Theregression or predicting equation of the computer utilization which appropriated for households ofprimary students was:The prediction equation had the power of prediction at 50 % and error of prediction was at 10 %.2. According to the comparison between present status, acceptance status and expectation statusfound that the problem of the computer utilization which appropriated for households of primarystudents was: interesting in housework such as house cleaning, punctuality and interesting inpornographies from internet and video compact disc (VCD)
