Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the problems of organizing and conducting provincial sport affairs. Three sets of questionnaires in the forms of check list, rating scales and open-ended were constructed and sent to 144 provincial sports officials. Eighty seven percent of questionnaires were returned. Percentage and means were used in the data analysis. The result indicated that the important problems of organizing and conducting provincial sport affairs were lack of finance in organizing, lack of provincial sports officials, lack of equipment, gymnesiums, stadiums, trainers, coaches, referees and provincial sport affairs admaintrators. Football was the most popular sports, and then basketball, volleyball, sepak-takraw, and athletetics. Average amounts of competitions in one year were football, 3; basketball, 2; volleyball, 2; sepak-takraw, 2; and athletetions, 2.
