Abstract:
This thesis is a study of return on investment of Kluai Khai cultivation in Kamphaengphet province. The data were collected on 110 grower from Ampur Meung, Ampur Saingam and Ampur Klong Klung. The analysis on data was classified into three catagories based on the farm sizes; 1-10 rai, 11-30 rai and more than 30 rai. The result of the study showed that the average cost per rai during the year 1st-3rd to the size of 1-10 rai, 11-30 rai and more than 30 rai are between 4,566.00-4,513.67 baht, 3,799.71-3,843.03 baht and 3,504.31-3,560.20 baht respectively. The most important cost of the three sizes is the direct labor cost. The average income per rai during the year 1st-3rd to the size of 1-10 rai, 11-30 rai and more than 30 rai are between 5,102.65-5,927.60 baht, 6,181.35-7,468.65 baht and 5,214.30-6,123.95 baht respectively. The profits are 528.98-1,353.93 baht, 2,381.64-3,668.94 baht and 1,654.10-2,619.64 baht respectively. The result of analysis of the return on investment of Kluai Khai cultivation showed that the 11-30 rai size has the highest rate of return. The profit margin on cost during the year 1st-3rd is between 62.68-96.56%. The next is the size of more than 30 rai and 1-10 rai are between 46.46-74.75% and 11.57-29.60% respectively. The contribution profit margin on cost of the 11-30 rai size is between 93.04-126.92% where as the size of more than 30 rai and 1-10 rai are 74.03-102.77% and 41.39-59.43% respectively. Beside this, the size of 11-30 rai has the lowest of total cost on total income ratio where as cash cost in highest value. Output at break-event point is at the middle level. It could be concluded that the investment of Kluai Khai cultivation in the 11-30 rai size gave the best return.
